The average Canadian home sale pays about $28,600 in commission.
Equil is building a more transparent, lower cost way to sell a home in Ontario. Join the waitlist and be first in line.
Where that number comes from
CREA forecasts the 2026 average Canadian home price at $698,881. The average total commission is 4.09 percent. That works out to about $28,584 on an average sale, usually split between two agents.
Our plan is different: a flat fee, or 1 percent for the full service tier, through a licensed partner brokerage. Final pricing will be published before launch.

What Equil will do differently
Offers you can see
Sellers will choose a transparent offer process. Buyers will know where they stand instead of guessing in the dark.
Verified buyers
Offer rooms will be limited to identity checked buyers, with optional financing verification. The aim is fewer surprises for everyone at the table.
Answers before offers
A standard disclosure pack, prepared by independent third parties, will be attached to the listing before anyone offers.
A record you can verify
Every offer event will be written to a tamper-evident log, and participants will receive the anonymized record after the process ends.
